The ACLU has launched a new blog "Free Future...dedicated to protecting civil liberties in the digital age." The blog hopes to provide a "vigorous forum for the daily exploration of issues related to technology – in particular, how we can ensure that individual freedom, control, and self-determination are enhanced rather than compromised by new advances in science and technology. We want a free future."
Issues to be addressed, include forward-looking technology privacy issues such as government surveillance, internet advertising, military and private use of drones, DNA, biometrics and cyber security. Other issues to be addressed as part of 'free future' include free expression issues such as network neutrality, content filtering, and photographers’ rights.
